WORKSHOP DOCENT

Op dit moment (september 2025) zijn we op zoek naar een workshop docent om ons kleine team te versterken.

DE FUNCTIE

Als workshop docent ben je zowel een warme en gastvrije gastheer/gastvrouw voor de deelnemers, als een ervaren keramist(e) in de techniek van het gieten van klei in mallen (slipcasting).

Je zet de werkplaats van tevoren op en begeleidt alle deelnemers gedurende de workshop. Je begint de workshop met een introductie over de werkruimte en de studio, waarna je een grondige demonstratie van het proces geeft. Vervolgens begeleid je iedereen door hun eigen creatieve proces. Na afloop van de workshop ruim je de studio op.

Voordat je de eerste workshop zelfstandig gaat geven, zullen we je uiteraard alles uitleggen en inwerken.

VEREISTEN

· (enige) ervaring met de slipcasting techniek
· bij voorkeur woonachtig in Utrecht
· bij voorkeur Nederlands sprekend, en Engels sprekend
· een gezond gevoel voor gastheerschap en verantwoordelijkheid
· we zoeken een match voor ons team
· deze functie is voor een freelancer of student

Momenteel kunnen we ongeveer twee workshops per maand aanbieden, maar idealiter willen we meer data aanbieden aan ons publiek.

BETALING

· afhankelijk van je ervaring kunnen we €80 - €120 exclusief btw per workshop bieden

STAGES

Op dit moment (september 2025) hebben we geen stageplekken beschikbaar.

WORKSHOP TEACHER

[sept 2025] We are looking for a workshop teacher to join our small team.

THE JOB

As a workshop teacher you are both a warm and welcoming host to the participants, as well as an experienced ceramicist in the slipcasting field.

You will set up the workshop beforehand and guide all the participants throughout the workshop. You will start the workshop with an introduction about the workshop space and the studio, after that you will provide a thorough demonstration of the process. You will then guide everyone through their own creative process. After the workshop is finished, you will clean up the studio.

Before you will teach the first workshop on your own, we will of course teach you the ropes.

REQUIREMENTS

· (some) experience with the slipcasting technique
· preferably based in Utrecht
· preferably native Dutch speaking, and English speaking
· a healthy sense of hosting and of responsibility
· we're looking for a match in our team
· this position is for a freelancer or a student

Right now we can host about two workshops per month, but ideally we would like to offer more dates to our audience.

PAYMENT

· depending on your experience we can offer you €80 - €120 ex VAT per workshop
